I finished We Need To Talk About Kevin last night, staying up far too late to do so (I should have known better than to say “I’ll just read a few pages” - You never read “just a few pages” of WNTTAK). Six days from start to finish. I had to force myself to put it down more than once because I was neglecting my normative sleep patterns.

I can’t count the number of times that book delivered a moment that was truly unexpected. It’s a shocking, thrilling character study featuring a deliciously misanthropic, deeply flawed cast of characters. I think you should read it.

Now, on to The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay!
